handmade pottery
Rockwood Studios pottery is made by Sarah Crawford, in Bennington, VT. Pieces are thrown on the potter's wheel, allowed to partially dry, then trimmed, cleaned up, and bisque-fired. Next, the piece is glazed with a combination of glazes and then refired to over 2200 degrees. All my pieces are glazed with non-toxic, food-safe glazes and are microwave, oven, and dishwasher-safe. All pottery is either wheel-thrown or hand built. So, no two pieces are exactly the same. So, you are purchasing a “One of a Kind” item.
